Yellow Fresh: A Playful Script Font That Lifts Your Brand

It was a Tuesday morning—coffee in hand, label printer humming—and I was staring at the latest batch of candle jar tags for my small-batch candle business. The old font felt… tired. Friendly, sure, but not quite *me*: warm, thoughtful, and quietly confident. Customers loved the scents—lavender + oat milk, sea salt + fig—but something about the typography wasn’t carrying that same sincerity. That’s when I discovered Yellow Fresh.

Yellow Fresh is a sweet, playful script font from Script Amp, designed to add charm without sacrificing clarity. It’s not overly ornate or fussy—it has gentle curves, open letterforms, and just enough bounce to feel human and approachable. Think handwritten notes from a trusted friend who also happens to have excellent penmanship. It’s the kind of script font that makes “Thank You” on a sticker feel personal, and “Small Batch • Hand-Poured” on a candle label feel intentional—not decorative for decoration’s sake.

I started small: swapping Yellow Fresh into my Instagram story templates. Instantly, my posts felt more cohesive—like they belonged to the same brand, not a rotating cast of fonts. Then came the product labels. My lavender-oat milk candle now reads “Calm • Creamy • Cozy” in Yellow Fresh above the scent description—and customers actually comment on how “soothing” the whole label feels. That’s not magic. That’s typography doing quiet, consistent work.

Yellow Fresh shines brightest as a display font: perfect for logos, packaging titles, menu headers, thank-you cards, stickers, and social media banners. It’s ideal for short phrases—not long paragraphs—so I use it for taglines (“Light Up Your Space”), shop name accents, and seasonal promotions (“Spring Glow Kit”). For body text—like ingredient lists or care instructions—I pair it with a clean, friendly sans serif (think Montserrat or Inter). The contrast keeps things readable while letting Yellow Fresh do the emotional heavy lifting.

Here’s what surprised me: how much easier consistency became. Before, I’d toggle between three different handwriting-style fonts depending on mood or platform. Now, Yellow Fresh is my go-to for any moment that needs warmth and personality—whether it’s a printed café menu, an Etsy banner, a digital ad for a new soy wax launch, or even a custom stamp for my shipping boxes. It works across mediums because it’s carefully designed for real-world use: clear at 12pt on a tiny product tag, expressive at 60pt on a website hero banner, and charming at 24pt on a mobile-optimized Instagram carousel.

One thing I double-checked before committing? Licensing. Yellow Fresh is a commercial font, fully licensed for use on physical products, packaging, merchandise, digital templates, client work, and online shops—no hidden restrictions. It comes in OTF and TTF formats, includes standard ligatures and stylistic alternates (great for avoiding repeated letter combos), and supports basic Latin multilingual characters—enough for English, Spanish, French, and German, which covers most of my wholesale accounts and international orders.

Readability matters—especially when your font lives on a curved candle jar or a glossy bakery box. Yellow Fresh holds up well in print because its x-height is generous and spacing is generous without being loose. On mobile screens, I keep headlines at 20pt or larger and always test thumbnails before posting. And for packaging mockups? I always preview in grayscale first—Yellow Fresh’s rhythm and contrast stay strong even without color.

Pairing Yellow Fresh is refreshingly simple. With a modern sans serif (like Poppins or Open Sans), it balances playfulness and professionalism. With a soft serif (like Cormorant Garamond), it adds editorial elegance—ideal for a boutique skincare line or artisan tea brand. I’ve even used it alongside another subtle script for layered texture—say, Yellow Fresh for the product name and a thinner, airier script for the subtitle—but only when the hierarchy is crystal clear. Less is almost always more.

What really changed wasn’t just how things looked—it was how *I* showed up. Yellow Fresh gave me permission to be warm without being cutesy, distinctive without being distracting, and memorable without trying too hard. It helped unify everything: the chalkboard menu at my pop-up stall, the PDF welcome guide for new subscribers, the embroidered patch on my apron, even the handwritten-style email subject lines I send each Friday. Consistency isn’t about repetition—it’s about resonance. And Yellow Fresh resonates.

If you’re updating your brand visuals—not overhauling, just *elevating*—start with one thoughtful choice. Not a full redesign. Not a new logo. Just a single, well-chosen typeface that reflects who you are and how you want people to feel when they see your name. That’s exactly what Yellow Fresh did for me. It didn’t fix everything—but it made everything feel more like *mine*.

And honestly? That’s enough to make a Tuesday morning feel like the start of something brighter.
